Art in the Time of COVID19: Children and Youth
The Dissection (Emilia Thompson)
18" x 20". Acrylic on canvas. 5/19/2020
My family and I decided around spring break to order a frog to dissect at home. The idea of concealing and revealing was a theme in my AP art portfolio so I decided to paint the scene of the dissection. By exposing the inside of a frog and playing with scale and the surreal as a fly observes the dissection, I reveal all that is inside through color and contrast.
