Art in The Time of COVID19
Project Extended: as the Safer at Home guidelines have been extended, ESMoA is extending the submission deadline for this project through June 30, 2020. For those who submitted prior to the initial April 30th deadline, up to two additional submissions are permitted.

Project Description: The novel coronavirus has arrived in our little Mayberry by the sea. During the challenging days ahead, ESMoA – your friendly local art laboratory – would like to invite you (yes you!) to share your experiences through our online community art wall. Submitted artworks, along with the accompanying description, should reflect some aspect of the coronavirus experience and have been produced during the period of the outbreak. We believe everyone is an artist!
Submission: Artworks can be submitted through this online form. If you have any questions, please reach out via email at submit@artlab21.org.
Selection Criteria: Artworks will be selected for inclusion based on alignment with the Challenge goals, appropriateness for all ages, and respect for the diversity within our community. Both Adult and Children & Youth categories are available.
Reopening Exhibition: Once the safer-at-home restrictions are lifted, and the reopening of our creative spaces once again possible, ESMoA is arranging a physical exhibition of selected works from the digital art wall. Selections will be made by a jury comprised of ESMoA’s staff and board members, members of the El Segundo Arts & Culture advisory committee, and the El Segundo Library. Invited artists will be responsible for providing their original works.
